For the vinegar plums, boil vinegar with water, sugar and spices. Boil the pitted plums in portions until they are glazed and put them into glasses.

Let the vinegar boil down. Remove the cinnamon bark and cloves and pour over the plums when cool.

Seal well, refrigerate and let the vinegar plums infuse for at least 3 months.
